We have three types of pricing: projects, quick hitters, and retainers. In general, we fall on the lower end of the EFA's range of fees. We don't make it a practice to trade B2B services. Below are descriptions of our three price types.
A project is any one-time effort. We edit novels, perform on-site management consulting, and create presentations, among other things. For any such project we'll work together to set a cost for the project, and that's it. You'll typically get two invoices—one at the start of work and one after the work is completed—though larger projects may have additional milestones.
Quick hitters are very small recurring projects that most editors won't touch because they're too small to be worthwhile—business cards, brochures, flyers, posters, etc. But with our quick hitter packages you can purchase project credits up front and then send us files without having to schedule time. We offer retainer pricing as needed for editorial, writing and consulting services. This gives us both peace of mind. You know you have expertise available at a moment's notice, and we know where work is coming from.
